| When children ask me “Did you play hockey?” I tell them about my one claim to fame – playing goal in regulation hockey without skates and winning a final playoff game. It was in North Battleford arena beside St. Thomas College. We won (if I remember correctly!) 3-2. Today it would be called “bush league hockey” but two of the Meota juniors went on to play for the Regina Pats. |
